Rabbi Matusof awarded
The Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal
On Thursday October 6th, 2022, our own Rabbi Menachem Matusof was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of his significant contributions to the province.
Nominated by Premier Kenney himself, Rabbi Matusof was honoured for his dedicated service to his peers, to his community, to Alberta and to Canada.
"Menachem Matusof is the Founder, Senior Rabbi and Executive Director
of Chabad Lubavitch Alberta. He is the longest serving Rabbi
in Alberta's history and an inspiration to many."
The Platinum Jubilee medal was created by the Province of Alberta to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada.
Rabbi Matusof was one of 38 Albertans who were awarded the medal yesterday at a ceremony at the McDougall Centre in downtown Calgary.
