It's a Chanukiah and not a Menorah, the latter being the 7-cupped oil holder that was used in the holy temple, and celebrated during our Chanukah 8-day festival. Reply

It is true that modern Hebrew uses the term "chanukiya" for the Chanukah menorah.

However, the word menorah (which simply means "lamp" in Hebrew) has been used for the Chanukah candelabrum for millennia and is still favored by many Jews all over the world. Reply
