There are over 400 active BMC chapters on all 5 continents with new chapters opening each year. BMC is open to girls aged 11 to 13 of all Jewish backgrounds. Monthly meetings and special events are held from October through June.

Through enjoyable activities and sharing, BMC meetings cover a number of coming of age issues as well as life lessons that often tie into Jewish culture, law and morals. During the course of the BMC year, areas of focus include confidence, consideration, empathy, generosity, modesty, dealing with friends and “frenemies”, taking responsibility, what a soul is and how to make it shine … all essential, universal principles to help guide our girls as they become young adults.

The girls will learn and become more fluent with some the prayers and rituals. They will feel good about their ability to understand and appreciate the rituals and the meaning of prayers both at home and in synagogue.

Since BMC is a club for girls, run by girls it’s also a great way to expand your daughter’s circle of friends, introducing her to others with both similar and new interests.

Chapters are led by enthusiastic, understanding BMC leaders who are dedicated to enriching the lives of Jewish tweens. Our leaders are college-age young women with an interest in education, Jewish culture and are past members stirred by their own positive BMC experiences.
