Our Synagogue
This week we learned alll about a Shul - Synagouge.
We each made our own little Synagogue, we had a private tour of the synagogue, and some of us even played a synagogue memory game!

Building our own Menorah
As chanukah approaches each child is creating their own menorah to light during this Chanukah.
Starting from scratch we sand, paint, and finish each unique Menorah!

Chanukah Party - Oil Making
As we attended Hebrew School in the midst of Chanukah, we had a chanukah party with Sufganiyot, Draeidel playing and Chanukah gelt.
We also had the chance to make brand new olive oil with fresh olives.
And of course we all got our Chanukah gelt on the way out!

Jewish Calendar
Learning all about the Jewish calendar, the 12 months, Jewish holidays etc.
We prepared the cover for our binders, and 12 sections for the 12 months of the year, ready to be filled up throughout the school year, as we learn all about the different special days in the Jewish calendar.
