Rabbi's Message
Over 3,330 years ago, the children of Israel stood as one nation at the foot of the Mount Sinai and received the Torah from G‑d. Each year on the holiday of Shavuot, this historic event is re-lived as the Ten Commandments are read from the Torah.

At Chabad Lubavitch of Alberta, we offer many events for your entire family to celebrate with us. Please join us at our annual Ice cream party and Ten commandments reading.

You can find more information about the holiday and our programming below.

Wishing you a happy Shavuot!

Yizkor Services

Shabbat, May 23

Yizkor will be held at 11:15am at Chabad Lubavitch of Alberta.

Recalling the deceased during a synagogue service is not merely a convenient form of emotional release, but an act of solemn piety and an expression of profound respect. The Yizkor memorial service was instituted so that the Jew may pay homage to his forbears and recall the good life and traditional goals.
